Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough, homemade or store-bought
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese (or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced cooked beef or steak tips
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder (optional, for a mild Tex-Mex touch)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt, to taste
- Marinara or queso cheese sauce, for dipping
Directions
1. Prepare the Dough
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
2. Add Garlic and Cheese
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil with the minced garlic.
- Brush this garlic-infused oil evenly over the rolled dough.
- Sprinkle on the grated Parmesan and half of the shredded provolone or mozzarella.
3. Add the Beef and Seasonings
- Distribute the thinly sliced beef evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, chili powder (if using), oregano, and a pinch of salt.
4. Fold and Slice
- Fold the dough over lengthwise to enclose the fillings.
- Press down lightly to seal.
- Using a pizza cutter, slice the folded dough into breadstick strips.
5. Bake
- Transfer the strips to the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the breadsticks are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Serve
Serve warm with marinara sauce or queso cheese sauce for dipping.
